Curative Factors of the Dead Sea and the Mechanisms of Their Impact on Organism

Abstract

There are plenty of curative factors concentrated in the region of the Dead Sea. It is ascertained that the water of this sea contains many more salts, minerals, microorganisms, and vitamins than the water of other seas. The ultraviolet radiation in this region is less intensive due to the fog from evaporation of water. Air humidity, fluctuation of the water temperature are also favourable to people's health. All these factors provide an opportunity to treat various diseases at health-resort clinics located in the region of the Dead Sea. Some skin diseases, chronic respiratory organ diseases, rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis in non-active phases of pathological process are recommended to treat in these clinics. Two groups of children with atopic dermatitis, aged 10,4 ± 3,5, were observed in a Novosibirsk clinics. The first group of patients (18 children) were locally applied the cream, the chemical composition of which contained salts of the Dead Sea. The second analogous group underwent treatment with conventional local therapy. All patients had allergen-free diet and were treated in the same conventional way. Considerable improvement was noted earlier in the first- group patients. It is ascertained that the curative factors present in the region of the Dead Sea have the pathogenic therapy influence upon patients infected with atopic dermatitis.

Reziumė

Negyvosios jūros regione yra sukoncentruota daug gamtinių gydomųjų faktorių. Nustatyta, kad šios jūros vandenyje gerokai daugiau įvairių druskų, mineralų, mikroorganizmų, vitaminų negu kitų jūrų vandenyse. Ultravioletinių spindulių srautas šiame regione mažesnis dėi rūko virš jūros, kuris susidaro garuojant jūros vandeniui. Oro drėgnumas, vandens temperatūros svyravimai taip pat palankūs žmogaus organizmui. Visa tai suteikia galimybę gydyti daugelį ligų Negyvosios jūros regione esančiose kurortinėse klinikose. Jose rekomenduojama gydyti kai kurias odos, lėtines kvėpavimo organų ligas, reumatą, reumatoidinį artritą, esant neaktyvioms ligos fazėms. Novosibirsko klinikose buvo stebimos dvi grupės 10,4±3,5 metų amziaus vaikų, sergančių atopiniu dermatitu. Pirmosios vaikų grupės (18 vaikų) pazeistos odos vietos buvo gydomos tepalu, į kurio sudėtį įėjo Negyvosios jūros druskų. Antroji analogiška vaikų grupė (20 vaikų) buvo gydoma įprastu, dažniausiai vartotu tepalu. Visiems ligoniams buvo paskirta antialerginė dieta ir vienodas bendras organizmo gydymas. Pirmiau teigiami gydymo rezultatai buvo pasiekti pirmojoje vaikų grupėje. Nustatyta, kad Negyvosios jūros regione esantys gydomieji faktoriai turi patogenetinį gydomąjį poveikį, sergant atopiniu dermatitu.
