Abstract
Different factors determining measurements of eggs of the Snipe (Gallinago gallinago) from the Kaliningrad Region of Russia have been analysed. Correlations between some morphometric parameters of female Snipes and the size of their eggs have been determined. Reliable differences in the average length of eggs in different habitats, in early and late clutches of eggs and in different years of breeding were found. These differences are largely determined by various trophic and meteorological factors.
