When the production of oil begins to decline through natural depletion and waterflooding, and when there are few sizeable new discoveries, the implementation of enhanced oil recovery processes could be a way of contributing to oil production. The implementation of enhanced oil recovery methods requires detailed analyses of the reservoirs and of their performance, and economic and environmental constraints play an important role in their development. This study presents the probability of enhanced oil recovery method implementation. After many simulations, performed during the last twenty years in the Republic Croatia, selective introduction of new technology and enhanced oil recovery processes could raise their production economics. The use of enhanced oil recovery methods in the Republic of Croatia is limited to the processes of oil displacement by gas injection.
