The debate over strategic mineral vulnerability: implications for Canada

Pages 16-35 | Published online: 02 Apr 2009

Abstract

Canada is a major producer of a number of minerals that are of critical importance to the industrialized countries. David G Haglund examines how this has affected and will influence Canadian production and export of non-fuel minerals. He also analyzes the concept of “vulnerability”, which is of central relevance for any understanding of strategic-minerals questions.
