Notes
1 The estallido social (social explosion) in Chile is a multidimensional phenomenon that started on October 18th, 2019. It refers to a social uprising against the profound social inequalities that characterize the Chilean model (Strategic comments, Citation2020). This has been widely covered by international media. For example see: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/21/world/americas/why-chile-protests.html. One of the most relevant consequences of the uprising was a referendum proposing to write a New Constitution.
