Abstract
This article is based on a paper worked out by students of OT in Vienna, Austria. It is a detailed description of a ficticious therapy-project conceived mainly for the vocational rehabilitation of psychiatric patients, which is situated on a farm. The paper is a product of team-work and was a part of the qualification exams at the end of the 3 year course.
The authors want to point out the lack, and urgent need, of alternative therapy institutions, especially for long-term patients who still have chances of finding employment on the open labour market. The aim was to show possibilities of using agricultural working processes for individually planned OT training. This concept, perhaps in a modified form should be realized in a few years.
