The effectiveness of a feedback hand exerciser in improving grip strength after flexor tendon injury

Pages 11-14 | Published online: 06 Oct 2016

Abstract

This article is a study which proves the effectiveness of an indigenously designed visual feedback hand exerciser in improving grip strength of the hand after flexor tendon repair in comparison with conventional methods used for improving grip strength in these cases. The newly designed instrument provides appropriate stabilization of the non-involved part, has an adjustable method of applying resistance to the affected group of muscles of the hand, and is fitted with a visual feedback system to enhance the motor performance.
