Abstract

To get to know occupational therapy in other European countries, I think, it is important that students have the possibility to carry out fieldwork abroad. Thanks to the cooperation of my school in Düren, Germany, with the school in Terrassa and the rehabilitation centre in Cornella I could realise my dream and do my fieldwork in Barcelona, Spain.

I worked for three months in a rehabilitation centre (neurology and orthopaedics) in Cornelia (Barcelona) and for two days I visited a psychiatric clinic. It was very interesting for me to see the way of working in the province of Catalonia. There are not many therapists (only one school in Catalonia) and they nearly all work in the functional field.
