Abstract

Electricity distributors are often not able to provide the level of quality and availability of supply demanded by modern electronic process based industries and this results in millions of dollars of lost revenue due to plant downtime and productivity loss. This paper highlights the development and application of cost effective high power inverter technology to bridge this gap and protect sensitive plants against voltage sags - the most prevalent power quality problem.
