Faster, higher, stronger…but what about our rights? human rights and hallmark events

Abstract

The human rights dimension of hallmark events indicates a recurrent series of impacts on the homeless and other marginalised groups. Rigorous requirements for on-going impact assessment and clear expectations concerning event management would assist in enabling these events to have minimal impact on host citizens.
