1. The term ‘Majority World’ is used in place of ‘the Third World’ or ‘the Developing World’ in an effort to draw attention to global inequalities that have resulted from colonization and are being exacerbated through globalization. Indeed, the majority of the world's population lives in impoverished regions where there is little access to the luxuries that are taken for granted by the minority of the world's population.
