Sarah Bulmer is Lecturer in Politics at the University of Exeter and works in the field of critical military studies. Her main research interests are critical theories of subjectivity and the implications of these for thinking about military identity, the legacies of contemporary conflict and processes of militarization. She is currently working on two major projects; the first investigates the regulation of sexuality in the contemporary British armed forces and the second explores the politics surrounding military personnel who are injured at war.
