Celia Valiente is Associate Professor of Sociology at the Department of Social Sciences of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain. Her main research interests are the women’s movement and gender-equality policies in Spain from a comparative perspective. Her research has been published by Gender & Society, Politics & Gender, Social Science Research, European Journal of Political Research, Social Movement Studies, Research in Social Movements, Conflicts and Change and South European Society & Politics.
