Jacqueline Ismael is a Professor of Social Work at the University of Calgary. Her research interests include the politics of social welfare in liberal society and the politics of social change in the Arab world. Her latest publication is Iraq in the 21st Century: Regime Change and the Making of a Failed State (2015).
