Nazan Haydari

Nazan Haydari is an Associate Professor in the Media Department at Istanbul Bilgi University, Turkey. Her research centers on feminist media studies, women’s radio histories, critical media pedagogies, and intercultural communication, with a particular interest in the media practices of peacebuilding and conflict resolution, and participatory and collaborative research. She is co-editor of Case Studies in Intercultural Dialogue (Kendall Hunt, 2015). Currently, she is working on a manuscript on women radio broadcasters of the 1970s in Turkey. She holds a PhD in Telecommunications and MA in Communications and Development from Ohio University, USA.
