Veronica Strandh
Veronica Strandh is an Associate Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science at Umeå University, Sweden. Her research interests include disaster management and peace and conflict studies. Her studies focus on how local actors, civil society, volunteers, and ordinary citizens experience crises, disasters, and conflicts, and their role in building societal resilience. Empirically, her research focuses mostly on Sweden and Indonesia. She has published her work in the International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, the Journal of Peacebuilding and Development, and the Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management, among others.
