Acknowledgements

Thanks to the reviewers who provided both timely and helpful reviews for all the papers in this special issue. I would also like to thank Toby Gifford and Shelly Knotts for their assistance with the editorial responsibilities for this special issue. We also thank everyone who submitted to this special issue on improvisational creativity, although not all the submissions made it to final published paper, the level of interest and enthusiasm for this topic suggests that there will be a lot more to say as our interactions with machines change. We trust readers will find much to contemplate in the collection of papers that follow.
