Paul Monod
Paul Monod is Hepburn Professor of History at Middlebury College and directs the College's programme in Oxford, where he is a Fellow by Special Election of Keble College. He has published Jacobitism and the English People, 1688–1788 (Cambridge, 1989); The Power of Kings: Monarchy and Religion in Europe, 1589–1714 (Yale, 1999); The Murder of Mr. Grebell: Madness and Civility in an English Town (Yale, 2004); and Solomon's Secret Arts: The Occult in the Age of Enlightenment (Yale, 2013). He is currently working on a study of Englishness.
