Jonathan Spangler
Dr Jonathan Spangler is Senior Lecturer in Early Modern European History at Manchester Metropolitan University (UK). He has written or co-edited two books on the House of Lorraine-Guise and their place in France and Europe, and is now working on a monograph project about their home state of Lorraine as a frontier between France and the Empire. He is a member of the research committee at the Centre de Recherche du Château de Versailles and Editor of The Court Historian.
