Katherine Crawford is Cornelius Vanderbilt Chair of Gender and Sexuality Studies and History at Vanderbilt University. Her most recent book, Eunuchs and Castrati: Disability and Normativity in Early Modern Europe (Routledge, 2018) examines the cultural questions around gender, sexuality and embodiment raised by castrated men in early modern Europe.
