Linguistic impairment after left hemidecortication for infantile hemiplegia? A reappraisal

Abstract

It is now widely accepted that patients who have undergone left hemidecortication for infantile hemiplegia have subtle linguistic deficits. It is argued that the evidence supporting this view is weak, and that many of the “deficits” of left hemidecorticates fall in the normal range of performance.
