Abstract

The following two articles have been retracted from publication in Human Fertility:

  1. Heng, B.C. (2007). Disparity in medical fees for donor- and self-freeze/thaw embryo transfer cycle: Opportunistic profiteering by medical professionals and health institutions? Human Fertility, 10:129 – 130.

    This article has been found to reproduce content, without attribution or acknowledgement, from the following articles:

    • Heng, B.C. (2007). Can the difference in medical fees for self and donor freeze-thaw embryo transfer cycle, be in fact a cover-up for the sale of donated human embryos? Philosophy, Ethics, and Humanities in Medicine, 2:3.

    • Heng, B.C. (2007). Disparity in medical fees for donor and self freeze-thaw embryo transfer cycle – a covert form of embryo commercialization? Developing World Bioethics, 7:49 – 50.

  2. Heng, B.C. (2007). Is it ethically justifiable to cryopreserve oocytes and ovarian tissues of healthy women not facing premature ovarian failure, but seeking to extend their biological clocks? Human Fertility, 10:49 – 50.

    This article has been found to reproduce content, without attribution or acknowledgement, from the following article:

    • Heng, B.C. (2006). Delayed motherhood through oocyte and ovarian tissue cryopreservation – a perspective from Singapore. Reproductive BioMedicine Online, 12:660 – 662.

The journal's policy in this respect is clear: Human Fertility considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that they have been submitted only to Human Fertility, that have not been published already, nor are they under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere.

Human Fertility published these articles (1 and 2) in good faith, and on the basis of legal warranties made by the corresponding author regarding the originality of their work. Both articles (1 and 2) are withdrawn from all print and electronic editions.
