2020 Impact factor

For the sixth year in a row the Human Fertility Impact Factor has increased again. For almost every year of my tenure as Editor in Chief, I have been delighted to announce an annual increase in the journal impact factor, from 0.988 in 2015 (Pacey, Citation2016), to 1.103 in 2016 (Pacey, Citation2017), 1.438 in 2017 (Pacey, Citation2018), 1.803 in 2018 (Pacey, Citation2019), 2.161 in 2019 (Pacey, Citation2020) to the recently announced 2.767 in 2020 (see ). This represents a tremendous achievement and a lot of hard work by our Sub-Editors, the many members of the Human Fertility Editorial Board (past and present), as well as Sandra Downing our Editorial Assistant, and Tomoko Yamanojo-Childress our Managing Editor at Taylor and Francis.

Clearly the year on year rise in Impact Factor is also down to the authors of the many papers which have been (and continue to be) submitted to the journal for consideration. Manuscript submissions are at a record high and we continue to do our best to make a decision on each one as quickly as possible. However, in order to do so, we rely on an army of volunteer reviewers to give their judgements and provide valuable reports to our Editorial Board Members. Frankly, the system would grind to a halt without them. So, in this issue of the journal, we publish a list of the 256 reviewers who agreed for their names to be acknowledged in this way for their efforts (there are others who did not want to be acknowledged publically).

Finally, also in this issue, it is our pleasure to publish 8 original articles which I hope you enjoy reading.
