On Planning for Not Having a Plan?

Notes

1. Kropotkin (Citation1906/2007) The Conquest of Bread was downloaded 511 times, Goldman (Citation1910/2000) Anarchism and Other Essays 336 times, and Proudhon (Citation1840/1995) What is Property? 305 times from Gutenberg eBooks in March 2017.

2. Whilst Bookchin (in Biehl, Citation1998) railed against prefigurative actions as being merely personal, “lifestyle anarchism” (such as graffitiing) which make participants feel good without challenging dominant structures, I would argue that the Neighbourhood Planning Assemblies constitute a prefigurative project.

3. I have no space to give Bookchin’s work on social ecology the critical attention it deserves (see Bookchin, Citation1980, Citation1994, Citation2007).
