What matters for cultural studies?

The multiplication of cultural studies' utility

Pages 438-441 | Published online: 27 Jun 2013

Notes

My argument here, and my choice of title, echo my earlier contention (Bennett Citation1995) concerning the multiplication of culture's uses associated with the nineteenth-century forms of its governmentalization.

Graeme Turner Citation(2012) and Toby Miller Citation(2012) raise important, but different, concerns about selected aspects of the relations between cultural studies, industry and government associated with its engagements with the cultural and creative industries.
