Abstract
In an attempt to publish some reviews sooner after material comes out, the Bulletin of Concerned Asian Scholars has added this section of short reviews of individual books, movies, TV series, and so on. Hassan N. Gardezi
Hassan Gardezi teaches sociology and anthropology at Algoma College in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. During the sixties he taught sociology at Punjab University, and he has published two books and numerous articles on the political economy of South Asia.
Nira Wickramasinghe
Nira Wickramasinghe teaches modern history at the University of Colombo in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She has published and edited work in the areas of nationalism and social theory.
