Abstract

The biomedical model of understanding, assessing and treating sexual problems is on the ascendancy, especially in the area of male sex dysfunction. In contrast, the couple, integrative, psychobiosocial model is presented as a positive approach to conceptualize, assess, treat and address relapse prevention for male, female and couple sexual dysfunction and dissatisfaction.
