Abstract

The emergence of sex coaching as a phenomenon within the landscape of treatment of sexual concerns is a growing force today. This “inside look” illustrates the client–sex coach relationship, discusses the origins of sex coaching, the scope of practices, use of the MEBES© model, distinctions between sex coaching and traditional sex therapies, and provides examples from among the “extraordinary” ways in which sex coaching can transform sexual wounding and limitations into healing for clients. Sex coaching is a broad-spectrum approach, allowing for the creativity and dynamic freedom that clients deserve.
