Ian Mills is a priest in the Diocese of Connor in the Church of Ireland. Before his ordination he served as a Cathedral Organist and developed research interests in eighteenth-century music. His doctoral thesis explored the organ works of J. S. Bach (1685–1750). His theological interests are broad: his forthcoming book The Hermeneutics of Humour asks what happens to our faith when we approach it open to the possibility of comedy.
