Abstract

Eugene Gendlin's Focusing-oriented/Experiential psychotherapy is the subject of this article. The author considers it particularly in the context of his own therapy as a client of Gendlin's. To describe his therapy with Gendlin, he presents a transcript of a typical session, an account of three important and helpful sessions, and discusses the therapies' endings. The article concludes with comments on the theory behind the therapy.

Eugene Gendlins Focusing-orientierte/Experienzielle Psychotherapie ist Gegenstand dieses Artikels. Der Autor reflektiert sie insbesondere im Kontext seiner eigenen Therapie als Klient von Gendlin. Um seine Therapie bei Gendlin zu beschreiben, stellt er ein Transkript einer typischen Sitzung vor, berichtet von drei wichtigen und hilfreichen Sitzungen und diskutiert die Abschlüsse von Therapien. Der Artikel endet mit Kommentaren zur Theorie, die dieser Therapie zugrunde liegt.

El tema de este artículo es la psicoterapia experiencial/orientada hacia la focalización (focusing). El autor lo considera particularmente en el contexto de su propia terapia como cliente de Gendlin. Para describir su terapia con Gendlin, presenta una transcripción de una sesión típica, un relato de tres sesiones importantes y útiles, y discute las terminaciones de las terapias. El artículo concluye con comentarios sobre la teoría que subyace a la terapia.
