Carole Birkan-Berz is senior lecturer in translation and an active member of the Tract (Traduction et Communication Transculturelle) research group, whose recent projects have included seminars and conferences on translating for the stage. Her own research focuses mainly on the translation of poetry and the circulation of poetic texts. She also has a background in pragmatic translation, translating and editing work in humanities and life sciences.
