The editorial team of Translation Studies notes with great sadness the passing of the esteemed scholar Gideon Toury. One of the founding figures in our field of study, and hugely influential to the work and careers of many colleagues, Professor Toury had also been a member of our International Advisory Board since 2009.
He will be greatly missed, by countless individuals around the world as well as by the discipline as a whole.
