New iridoids from the roots of Valeriana jatamansi Jones

Abstract

Two new iridoids namely valerialloside A and valerianoside A (1 and 2) along with five known compounds (3–7) were isolated from the roots of Valeriana jatamansi Jones. The structure of new compounds were determined using 1D and 2D NMR including ¹H-¹H COSY, HSQC, HMBC and NOESY spectroscopic techniques.
