Abstract

The dynamic stress-strain behaviour of aluminium crystals fatigued in a push-pull machine at 13 cycles/second is outlined. Room temperature interruptions to tests carried out at -196°c, -78°c and 20°c resulted in a transitory hardening which is attributed to the movement of point defects to dislocations.
