Abstract
Statistically stable Preisach diagrams have been determined at 20°C for four dilutely dispersed ferrite micropowders and two fine-grained rocks, and at higher temperatures (352°C and 470°C) for two of the ferrite samples. Particle interaction spectra derived from the Preisach diagrams indicate mean interaction fields ranging from 35 to 340 oe at 20°C, and decreasing with increasing temperature. Magnetization and a.c. demagnetization curves of isothermal, anhysteretic and thermoremanent magnetization can be predicted with reasonable accuracy from the experimental diagrams.
