Abstract
The presence of ordered zones in the coherent, Co-rich Co-Cu-Nb precipitate of aged Cu-2 w/o Co-Nb alloys, within the solubility limit of Nb in Co, has been detected by increases in their saturation magnetization, Δ I b, brought about by plastic deformation. It was found that Δ I s is proportional to (xNb2/3), where x Nb is the atom fraction of Nb in the Co-rich precipitate.
