Abstract

A variational determination of the hybrid coefficients in an sp_z harmonic hybrid model of the angular distribution shows that the p_z mode maximizes at the liquid surface. Certain thermodynamic functions of the surface may be expressed in terms of the hybridization ratio of the coefficients.
