Forces on dislocations in field-ion specimens; further analysis of some previous observations

Abstract

Dislocation configurations in field-ion specimens may be modified by the shear or hydrostatic components of the field stress or by the forces from image dislocations. In this paper the effects of the first factor on some dislocations which have been reported in the literature are considered.
