Abstract
Cross-generational desire is explored through the lens of physical and emotional desire for our fathers. I discuss barriers to realizing our desire for daddy including a rigid incest taboo, gender melancholy, and retreat and literal loss of the father. Several of the ways that we negotiate this desire are illustrated through clinical and personal vignettes.
