Attitudes of Professional and Lay Leaders of Congregations Toward the Employment of Women as Religious School Administrators

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the history of the role of women in Jewish education in the United States and to assess the attitudes of professional and lay leaders of congregations in the Chicago Jewish community toward the employment of women as administrators of congregational religious schools.
