Synthetic Ribonucleotide Analogues for RNA Structure-Function Studies

Abstract

The use of synthetic ribonucleotide analogues in structure-function analysis of RNA is reviewed with particular reference to the roles of specific RNA functional groups in hammerhead ribozyme cleavage and in the interactions of the HIV-1 gene regulatory proteins tat and rev with their respective RNA targets TAR and RRE.
