Consideration of the aerodynamic equivalent diameter of respirable mineral fibers

Abstract

By means of data derived from the work of others, the relation of the diameter and length of a fiber to its aerodynamic equivalent diameter is portrayed graphically. Similarly, graphical representations of the relationship of fiber diameter and length to alveolar deposition are constructed and discussed.
