Evaluation of intact gloves and boots for chemical permeation

Pages 468-471 | Published online: 04 Jun 2010

Abstract

A method has been developed for evaluating intact gloves and boots for chemical permeation. The method is useful for evaluating the effect of seam integrity and material imperfections on the permeation rate. The results of the intact glove and boot tests with 1,4-Dichloro-2-butene are compared with a patch test permeation method using the same materials.
