Health matrix—toxic waste isolation

Abstract

United States Industry is undertaking projects which require the cleanup or physical isolation of toxic materials. Chlorinated hydrocarbons are one of the most persistent chemicals which must be segregated from the environment. This paper describes the matrix implemented to protect the community and workers during decontamination activities of chemical waste surrounding a hexachlorocylopentadiene plant.
