Pages 209-210 | Published online: 04 Jun 2010

Abstract

Captan is a fungicide which is widely used in mid-west agriculture on a variety of crops including corn and apples. Since it is a suspected carcinogen there is interest in the exposure of applicators. The results of an evaluation of exposure to apple orchard sprayers during the application of captan is reported. The methodology is based on the sampling protocol developed by Homer Wolfe.
