Abstract
Redesign of poorly functioning industrial ventilation systems has been largely by trial and error. Equations for redesign calculations have been derived to predict necessary replacement duct sizes to achieve a target duct velocity, airflow or static pressure. Other equations predict effects of changing duct size on duct velocity, airflow, and static pressure.
