Abstract
This paper presents the details necessary to convert the conventional gear driven Wright dustfeed to a unit that is operated by a microprocessor and stepping motor. Complete electrical diagrams, computer code and parts list are provided. The major advantages of this conversion are reduced jamming of the gear drive train, increased resolution in speed control and greater operational flexibility.
