Pages 86-94 | Received 09 Sep 2009, Accepted 05 Nov 2009, Published online: 01 Mar 2010

Abstract

Learning games and activities can be used to teach students how to apply concepts and theories to topics related to tourism. Rules for playing learning games are suggested along with sample games involving the Plog typology, signs and semiotic theory, the relation of myth to everyday life and travel, and Freud's structural hypothesis. Suggestions for creating new learning games are offered.
