Remote But Also In-House: Providing Information to Moorfields Eye Hospital and Beyond

Abstract

This article provides an overview of the work of the Eyes and Vision Specialist Library, an entirely online, evaluated collection of ophthalmic information. Created and maintained by Moorfields Eye Hospital Research and Development Department for the National Health Service (NHS) National Library for Health, it is available worldwide to anyone with Internet access. Full-text access is available to free resources, and Athens users can log in for further full-text documentation. The value to clinicians of a limited data set with simple search facility is highlighted.
