Abstract

Outreach Connections: Native Health Information provides a collaborative space offering descriptions of health information promotion and training activities for American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians. Hospital librarians' institutions may serve Native communities, which are among the federal government's priority underserved groups. “Indian Country” includes every part of the United States, with more than half of the nation's Native citizens living in urban areas. Health information outreach is an opportunity for hospital librarians to contribute to their institution's missions. Outreach Connections can provide ideas for outreach projects, connections to colleagues who are involved in similar activities, and a place to highlight accomplishments.
